About Ghossain's: A Family Legacy
When Fred Ghossain emigrated from Lebanon in 1954, he brought with him more than his family, he brought a vision. Settling in Canfield with his wife and four children, Fred worked tirelessly in the restaurant industry, saving enough to invest in something of his own. In 1970, Fred and his two sons launched Ghossain's Mid East Bakery out of a neighborhood garage with just $1,000 and a commitment to quality.
What began as a small family operation soon earned a reputation for making the finest pita and flatbreads in the region, breads known for a distinctive texture and flavor that kept customers coming back for more. Over the decades, Ghossain's grew through two major expansions (1992 and 2004), eventually distributing to restaurants and grocery chains across the country while never losing the family-first values that started it all.
Today, Ghossain's remains proudly family-run and still rooted right here in Canfield, Ohio, where it all began. With over 50 years of experience, we bring that same dedication to every wrap, bowl, and catering spread we serve.
